Which mercedes cars can be pull started?
 
Im looking for the procedure to pull start a 78 300cd automatic ,will this be possible on this model and year.

Mine has a pulley behind the fan where you can wrap a rope with a handle. You have to pull really hard!

1-800-FOR-MERC seems to think it could work but may not due to no power to glow plugs... so I suppose if you have power to the glow plugs it should work?
