200 TE Tailgate Auto Close Stopped Working
 

i have a 93 200 te wagon euro. had the shop replace the cable and tube for the sunroof a few days ago.

when the car came back, i noticed that the power antenna and rear pillar lights were not working. found out later that fuse C was busted. replaced the fuse and it blew again. replaced fuse again and fuse did not blow this time. antenna came in as well as interior lights but tailgate close assist was no longer functioning which is supposedly in the same circuit.

search this tech forum and found out that for some models, one needs to reset the autoclose system by pulling out fuse 9 for more than 10 secs. did this but it remained inoperable.

i called the shop and they did promise to take a look if mech who fixed it inadvertently shorted out something while in the process of fixing the sunroof.

would appreciate ideas. just want to make sure that shop knows what they're doing when i eventually take the car back.
