A couple of weeks ago I saw Euro headlights for the 300E on parts shop. Now I cant seem to find them. Do they still have them and is there anything special I should know about the conversion are they just a direct replacement(i.e. wiring, relays, switches)

Mechanical installation is very straightforward. Electrical requires new connectors and moving the wire pins to different locations in the connectors. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/8969-procedure-convert-connectors-euro-headlights.html
Aiming requires a cardboard target. http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/how_to/aim/ No relays are needed if you stick to a 55/60 watt bulb. http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/how_to/relays/ |
Euro Headlights
See my earlier post under Diesel Discussion, (Thanks Barrie for Posting this conversion chart). I just did this conversion last week end on my 300D, it's very simple. No modifications, just make sure you get the connectors with the lights cause you need them. The connectors are numbered 1-6 (you need a magnifying glass if over 40, like me). The only problem I had was the windshield fluid bottle was real close to the back of the headlight assembly, I had to squeeze it in, and I had to buy 4 longer screws for the (side brackets). I did have to buy the bulbs, H4-headlight and H3-fog. Good luck!
