Fuel Distributor Leak, 89 300E

Engine off, switch off.

After I pushed down the distributor plate several times, I noticed raw fuel leaking from the lever located down below the distributor housing. This lever connects to all the small balljoint connectors as you push the gas pedal.

I figured that when I depressed the plate and fuel released, it must go somewhere. Am not sure whether it should leak as it did.

Comments, pls.

Joel:

I wonder if it's leaking from the EHA(electro hydraulic actuator)? - photo at URL below. From what I've read here, this is a common place for CIS systems to leak.

The piston o-ring is replacable...should not see any Quantity of fuel

YOU must mark the piston nut & it MUST be re-installed back to the original position OR you will need a fuel distributor..

Has anyone ever done this before? Looking at the exploded picture, I wonder what o-ring is it? Any part number?
