1991 300CE cruise control problem
The cruise control on my 91 300CE works then dosen't work. I have checked the brake lights as someone told me this would cause the unit to not function but the lights are fine. There seems to be no pattern or consistantcy to the problem...it just kicks in if I set it sometimes and other times I can set and reset it and it just will not take...any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

mine does the same thing.... it seems you just have to wiggle it here and there to get it to kick in..
i probably only use the cruise 2% of the time, so it doesn't really matter to me..

Remove the control box (driver side kick panel)(do a search on this here), remove the printed circuit board, arm yourself with a good light and magnifying glass, then using a fine low watt iron, re-melt all of the connections on the board except the IC ones (black boxes, they don't like heat). From others posts and my own experience, this will fix it 90% of the time.
