I discovered that my front caliper is leaking. I would like to just replace or rebuild it. I do not know how to tell the difference between Bendix and ATE calipers. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Oscar oscar_trapp@hotmail.com 72 280se 260k daily driver |
You will usually find the name of the mfg. cast into the caliper itself. Take a look, you will be able to find it.

Oscar, Bendix or Girling calipers will usually have two bent wires used for the pad cross-spring. Ate will have a solid metal cross spring. And as stated before, there is usually the manufaturer's name stapmed into the side of the caliper. |
