1988 300e stalling/cutting out
I have a 1988 MB 300e. From a cold start, it will run for a minuite or two, then stall. It will restart easily, but it will only run for a few seconds and stall again. The engine doesn't sputter, it stops immediately as if one has thrown a switch. When it does run it runs smoothly. This leads me to believe it's not a problem in the fuel supply. Could something in the electronics be causing the problem? Thanks for your time.

You guys can relax now. I had the problem fixed. Bad wire from the ECU to the OVP apparently. But hey, next time I need a problem with a Buick Regal or whatever the hell the car was that guy had, I'll post here. I'd get 13 replies that way. That's 13 more than I got for my Mercedes problem. Bye.

at least, in his simple way, he was fairly specific about what his problem was. you, on the other hand, could have been suffering from one of a dozen different issues, all of which would create the symptoms you described.
oh, and in answer to your original question: yes. |
