how to open case for repair to auxilary fan motor
On 1977 450SL. I took off aux fan and want to open up case to repair motor. How to? Large nut clock or counter clockwise, how to hold case while turning nut? Other tips? appreciate any suggestions. Abe G

Why?
I replaced mine with a generic for $30.00 USD.
There are so many aftermarket fans available that you should have no issue getting one to fit. The last one I repaired cost $29.20 for bearings and brushes + $12.10 S&H = never again...
