Hey All,

A friend gave me as a gift an Accel Supercoil(Universal), it had in the box a ballast resistor. Do I need to use the resistor? I didnt see a resistor near my old coil, but I suppose that it could be further in the wiring harness.. Anyone know for sure?

MB hasn't used ballast resistors since 1983 on US models!! Read the instructions with coil to see WHY they included the resistor with the coil. I would think it would be for some older American Iron.
