90 300te 4matic ?s
looking at a 90 4matic wagon,it has had a recent headgasket,and some major work over $2000 to the 4matic,but says that the 4matic light is on on the dash,supposedly just a sensor,i have read in other posts that the 4matic can be a major pain in the butt($) but can be disabled,as i doubt i'd ever use it anyway,around here wagons are very hard to come by and it's in fantastic shape,i just don't want major problems down the road with the 4matic,i take it the 4matic is a transfer case of sorts,could it be removed altogether or just leave it in (2wd)mode??

maybe lucky for me car got sold.thanks anyway.guess i'll keep looking,i'd really like to find a diesel wagon anyway.
