Gilly, are you there?

Gilly, my '95 SL is no start. It happened twice, last time I got it started by massing with the fuses. I have an open thread in the SL forum about this. LeaUK suggested it may be my ignition.

When key is turned, all lights came on but engine won't engage. I even changed out some of the fuses hoping that helps.

I just called an indie in town and he quoted me 4 hours for the job, assuming it is my ignition switch. Can you confirm that it takes that long for the job? Is it a DIY project?
