Cool 1995 E320 fuel injection question

Hello Gents,

I have been searching the site to no avail.
My friend just bought a 1995 E320. It failed the emission test. We read the code off the flashing LED under the hood and found out that there is a problem with the O2 sensor. I am not sure if O2 sesnor would cause emission test failure so I wanted to check the fuel mixture on it. On my 86 300E I could read the duty cycle have an idea of the mixture rate. It can then be adjsuted by a hex key on top of te KE fue injection system.

Can you please let me know what type of fuel injection system is installed on 95 E320 and whether there are similiar ways as in 86 300E to measure/adjust the fuel/air mixture ratio? Also I know that Ford Mustang O2 sensor fits my 300E. Is there a cheaper car whose O2 sensor fits 95 E320?

Thanks in advance.

The car is HFM/SFI , full electronic fuel injection.
No mixture adjustments.
You may want to get codes from the other modules before changing the 02 sensor.
Much info in the Archieves

Thanks Arthur,
Does 95 E320 also has the 38-port plug as described in few of the posts? If not which plugs can I read the codes for other modules from? I guess I would need to make the tool with LED as per your diagram.

No .. it has the 16 pin box

The pins you want to check are 8 and 14 ..

Go here for the codes for that chassis

E320 16 PIN DTC Charts inc. pin 8, pin 14
