You have a coefficient of friction problem, B3 clutches are to aggressive, coolant contamination, dirty or worn transmission fluid, worn B3 clutches.
Check the fluid level and condition, if clean, not brunt, not strawberry looking (water). The less expensive attempt to fix this problem is a transmission fluid flush, if it doesn’t work the Tran’s needs new B3 clutches and nitrated steels in a 722.4 transmission. |

Thank you! Will this be ok to drive for awhile if it is the b3 clutch? I also would like to know how expensive and how much of a pain in the a** it would be to change?

My 85' W126 also does this. I think I need to change the tranny fluid. Until then, I just park to where I do not have to use reverse after the car is warmed up.
When the transmission fluid is cold, it does not do it. |
