At the very foremost portion of the top where it meets near the windshield, there are two micro switches that have rubber boots on them.
You have to open the top slightly, remove the covering fom the forward portion of the top to expose the micro switches. Peel away the rubber boots off of the switches with needle nose pliers and a sharp pick or pin. get those rubber boots cleaned away from the switch plungers and put it all back together. This will fix your problem and won't harm the switches. The rubber bunches up and keep the switch plungers from moving freely. Pay attention to how the cover comes off and take your time. It's an easy fix and works like a champ. very common problem. John. call me and I will walk you through it. 404-723-1346. Last edited by cudaspaz; 04-07-2006 at 08:28 PM. |
