what's that button for?

Hi All:

My 89 190E has a button in between the left front and left rear electric window switches. What is it for?

it is a momentary button, black, square.

Thanks.

it is for disabling/enabling the rear window switches, e.g., if you have kids in the rear seats.

Things like this are explained in the Owner's Manual.

You can still get one for your car from your dealer.

Or continue asking one of the Bro's on this site, they don't mind helping out. One day you're gonna be cruisin this site and see a problem that you just experienced--and solved, then it's your turn to help out!

I'm sure thats how this site was intended to be. However, as I have noticed, the more post counts some of these assclowns get, they think they can be condesending know-it-alls that forget that they once had to ask questions. Good to see that there is some folks that want to help eachother out.

I am not sure who you are referring to, so I am going to just pretend that you were not referring to me or my post when you wrote the quote passage.

On the unlikely event, however, that you were referring to me, I'd just say that: I've helped enough people here, on the MBCA site and on BenzWorld, to have earned the right to an occassional joke. My comment was written only after someone had already posted the correct answer and was not mean-spirited or meant to make fun of the thread-starter.

If you were referring to Kent's comment about getting a manual, his comment is right on target. Getting an owner's manual is something that EVERYONE should do. tehre is lots of helpful information there. The manuals are fairly cheap and, as Kent pointed out, they are available from the dealer.

Incidentally, Kent does not need me, or anyone else, defending him. Kent has continually helped everyone that comes here with a question. I know he has helped me many times. Frankly, he spends so much time helping people here, on the MBCA website and on BenzWorld, that sometimes I wonder how he manages to do his work and still find time to help people.

So cool it with the asinine comments, sit back, relax and ejoy the many benefits of free enthusiast sites such as this one. We are all here to have fun and enjoy our cars.

The only people who get flamed here are those with a chip on the shoulder, so remove yours.
