How much oil to top up
On a W202 M112 (c280), how much oil does one need to add to move from the min mark on the dipstick to the max mark on the dipstick? My oil level is about 3/4 towards the max mark, and I want to top up the oil but is afraid of overfilling.

Leave it alone.
The CORRECT level is BETWEEN the " Add " & " Full " mark. Right where you are. ;) |
on our CE once it is halfway between the markers...the oil light starts to go on..... usually about 3/4 of a quart low by then.....
the E doesn't seem to have that issue... |
As stated above, leave the oil level where it is.
That being said, the difference between the min and max marks is 2 quarts. |
How much oil did you add?
Did you change the filter with the oil. |
