92 3ooE sunroof

You know that the sunroof switch has 4 positions: up=flip up, down=close, back=slide open the roof, and foward=close from sliding open. When I press down, foward or up the sunroof flips open, if I press back on it it slides open....both of the "close" positions are making the sunroof flip open and not close!!!!! Any ideas?

It's either seriously out of adjustment or the microswitch in the motor has failed and isn't stopping the motor at the correct position.

Does it open all the way or just a crack? If just a small amount, it can probably be adjusted, but if it doesn't stop until full open, you probably need a new motor.

it flips all the way, and when I open it, it also open all the way. But when I close it it closes all the way and then flips open so I have to keep an eye out and stop it before it flips open. Not really a big deal...but it kinda fustrates me. It was working just fine till yesterday afternoon.
