Just wondering if anything usually goes wrong with the charcoal cannister on my old 230. I haven't changed it since I bought the car, and I'd imagine that it needs a cleaning at least. I've been having some low vacuum problems and I'm planning to change the vacuum lines in the near future and want to make sure everything is up to snuff.

What does a charcoal cannister do, and what can possibly go wrong with it?
