Everybody i need your advice i just saw a 91 300ce there asking for $17,000 and the mileage is 69k miles,it doesnt have a service record. The inside and outside of the car is flawless, immaculate .I drove the car the ride was smooth and the engine is quite. The only thing that bother me is when i open the hood i saw a the headers has alot of rust and below the headers i saw a leakage of oil even the undercover of the engine has a trace of oil.Probably its the head gasket problem huh. Do you guys think it worth buying this car.thank you

Way too much money. My experience is almost totally technical but even I know that is too much money. Besides the mileage has no significance without service records for verification.

The average car is expected to look original at ten years on a MB. It takes a keen eye to pick a well cared for 200K car from a claimed 70k car. Witness the recent posts from a gentleman who thought he had a valuable clean car with 175k miles.

I have seen '93's with 70k miles for less money. Don't get taken, especially if it needs work.

P.s. the '92 and later ones had the 104 twin cam engine.

Ronald, Take your time to find the right car. You won't regret spending more time to find the right car.

Do not make the same mistakes that some of us have made before. Always look for a car with service records.

My car unfortunately did not have service records, but my mechanic checked it out and gave me the ok to buy it, and I am very happy.

Other than that, and even if the mileage on my car is not original which I can't tell if it is or not, I don't care, because I have the benz I always wanted.

Alon

I bought mine in December of 98' for $18,500
It had 47,000 miles on it at that time. Body and interior was flowless. Was it a lot?
