Euro 380, first gear start?
Do the '81-85 380SE/Ls start in first gear or are they second gear starts? :confused:

Excellent, I found a donor car I can swipe the valve body from next week. Then I'll only need the super-common US second gear start to take both apart side by side to see where exactly the problem lies.

According to Manual
According to my owners manual that covers the 280, 380, and 500 SLs 81-85 the 380 is first gear start and the 500 is second gear start.
