Idle drop

1995 e320, when in D and ideling, with AC on, the engine will drop in idle all of a sudden, feels almost like a misfire? Did an oil change and replaced fuel filter. Did spark plus 6k ago. What do you think it is and what should I replace? Or should I run some fuel system cleaner?

i have the somewhat same problem with an E320 1996...sometimes im at a light then the idle will decrease and increase for no reason then go back to normal....any one with any ideas how to fix ??

I'd suggest (75% sure) that it's the throttle actuator.

May not be though, you might have some one read the potentiometer voltage it may not be set or the pot may be going bad, Dave in Dallas can fix you up better than I on this model.JNT

proper proceedure is to check for a leak in the manifold or in the vacuum system, its called sawing. second step if that is not the trouble is to check that the ignition system are all in order then last is the fuel system. Do it the scientific way (proper way) to avoid unnecessary cost and waste of time.

thats were is started..changed my fuel filter but nothing...still hesitates at a light once in a while...and also forgot to metion...once in a while when i try to take off for no reason whe i press the gas the car either wont move at all bearly moves,in a jerking mode, and to get goin i have to like pump the gas petal several time then the car will go...but it wont die on me...
