1987 300td no recall done yet/need help or tips
hi i have an 87 i just bought but the previous owners didnt do the recall on the exhaust,got any recommendations on that issue?
also did they use to have a cargo net cover for these? |

Sure, talk to the dealer that you would have perform it.
Double roller blind was an option. If car in question "used to have it" there will be mounting brackets on back of driver side rear seat, in tailgate, and in headliner.

Some dealers will make you wait until the trap oxidizer is plugged or otherwise failed before replacing it. No problem (other than the crappy performace you get first!) as they will then have to replace the turbo and exhaust --- you get a new downpipe anyway as it has a trap catalyst in it.
If it whistles or has bad performance (0-60 in more than 14 sec) it's plugged. Peter
