coolant drain

I want to drain and replace the coolant in my 95 e320 wagon, but the location of the drain bolts is unclear in the service manual, do i need to put the car up on jacks and pull the bottom cover off to drain the block? thanks

car ramps should help nicely.

The belly pan should come off, and the drain plug is visible at the bottom of the radiator.

The block drain should be a lone nipple type plug on the right side of the block.

It is much less messy when you attach an appropriate sized hose to fit over the drain plug before you drain the block, so you can guide it into a drain pan.

You are going to have to run the car for a while after refilling and have to burp the cap at times, but turn on your full defrost to help circulate the coolant throughout the system.
