hang in there matt. you will get the hang of it soon.

those old metal brake lines are a bit tricky but after you have a few under your belt you will develop a feel for what they need. and remember sometimes the only thing is that they are really stuck and you will break something!

fortunately the parts arent too expensive.

Did the master cylinder on the SDL today. After removing the reservoir, lo and behold.......what do I find??

The larger forward portion of the reservoir feeds the rear section of the m/c and is used for the front brakes.

The smaller rear portion of the reservoir feeds the front section of the m/c and is used for the rear brakes.

Where does one get rebuilt calipers rear both sides for my 1982 300 turbo D I have bendix but I heard that ate is german and better....... littleleo::confused:

Also I heard that they can be gotten for under 100.00$ Could that be true?

i prefer the ates but the bendixes are ok too. 100% interchangable. and you may well be able to get two for under or around $100.
