Did I kill my a/c?
86 560sl. Until yesterday, cold air. Replaced the fuel pump relay due to intermittent failure. In the process killed the radio.
Last night I checked the fuses and the radio fuse was out. All the other fuses were fine. Blower works, blows ambient air. Don't hear the clutch coming on and visual inspection shows it's off. I looked behind the glovebox to see if I knocked anything loose but doesn't seem so. Help would be appreciated. JB |

Is it possible to check the wires on the compressor to see if you're getting voltage there? If you have a map of which fuse is for each function that would be very helpful. After identifying the fuse that activates the clutch check it with a continuity meter in addition to visual inspection. Clean the contacts on the fuse & put it back in & pull it out a couple of times to help clean the female member. The timing of loss of your a/c and changing some things does sound it's possible you pulled a connection loose, or partly loose so that it appears all is well.
