hello all, my dome light will not go out anymore after the doors are shut. its set on the correct position on the knob, but stays on all the time. it will go off if turned to off on the knob. any help???

Time to replace the unit. There is a delay circuit in the lamp unit. I bought one for my 300SD at a wrecking yard for about $10.
