Crank sensor replaced -- now SHIFTS very HARD?!?

Had the infamous crank sensor replaced on my 1994 C280 (only 57k miles) replaced at the local dealer. Ever since, the shift point have changed somewhat but the bigger problem is that the final two shifts have gotten very hard. The final one is a fairly violent jerk that I feel can not be healthy for the car. It feels like something is going to get broken -- tranny, driveshaft, transaxle...something.

My old 190 had a bowden cable adjustment. Does this car? Is there something on my car that had to have been disassembled in the r/r that affected this?

Thanks for your input.

You may have accidentially removed a vacuum line from the intake manifold that goes to the tranny while replacing the sensor.

Thanks, I'll look for it.
