Sounds daft - but can anyone help me to find out specific details about the engine above?

I need to find out the full detail, not just sizes and dimensions.

This is in order to look at the possibilities behind converting to LPG (Autogas) and/or turbocharging the unit.

I understand the SSangyong engine is similar?

What information has anyone?!

Thanks all...

Thanks for your help Ali...

anyone else got more on this engine? Is it an actual mercedes unit, or it is an OE unit? (I don't know if Mercedes actrually built their own engines - I'm THAT uninformed!)

Thanks!!

217 Horsepower
You can find more info at MBUSA.COM, under models, then at the bottom under 13 year model overview. That should help.
And yes, Mercedes made the engine!

David - thanks for your help. I cast a quick eye over MBUSA, but obviously not long enough!

best wishes

Joey,
No problem for the help. You should also look in your manual. You have probably already done that but there might be a little more information in there also. Also, hopefully other members on the forum will also have more input. Good luck.
