I am wondering if it's possible to disable ASR function on 94 S500. it doesn't have the ASR button, so how can I disable it?

There are a couple of companies offering kits to disable the ASR system, BUT why?

MB suggests that when running cars on a dyno that the ASR be deactivated by unplugging the ABS/ASR actuator. After testing, the cars controllers will have to be reset to get rid of all the codes which will be set.

They do not want the control unit disconnected as that would interfere with the engine management systems ability to get needed info from the ABS/ASR controller.

ASR disable

I have a sl600, and there have been a very few times when I would like to turn off the ASR mode. However, there have been many many more when it has doen a masterful job of keeping the car on line when traction changed abrubtly.

Di it with caution. There are a couple of kits out there, and it HAS to be done right. All the computers and sensors work together and you can easliy screw lots of things up.

Beverly Hills Motoring still lists the ASR switch & computer on their web-page at http://www.bhma.com. Do a search on ASR switch, about $800.
