Flasher Comes When The Door Is Opened
 

Vehicle: 1993 190E 2.6

The lights start flashing as soon as any door is opened. The emergency light switch is in the off position. The lights continue to flash as long a the car is running. If you turn on the headlights, the flashing will stop until the headlights are turned off. Is there a flasher module on this vehicle and could it be defective. If there is one where is it located.

Hmmm .. It almost sounds like your alarm is going off, but the horn was disconnected.

Just for kicks, try this: Once you have unlocked the door, keep the key in the door, and "unlock" it a second time while the door is open. If that makes the flashing lights stop, then there is something buggy with the alarm system.
