how do i remove the interior light/sunroof switch/temp sensor assembly from my 300e?? your comments will be appreciated!

The illustration on pg 78 of my Owners manual shows a screw driver blade being inserted between the black frame of the assembly and the headliner. The instructions say: "...Push the lamp assembly to the right (passenger side), lift off the cover (which includes the sunroof switch, seatbelt lights, and light switch) on the left side with a screwdriver and pull the lamp assembly out." I tried it, and it takes a fair degree of pressure to the right, and an equal amount of downward pull on the left hand edge, but it came out succesfully. Re-installation was the reverse of removal, also requiring a fair degree of pressure.
