Hello,

Just thought I would introduce myself.

I have a 91 560 SEL which I purchased quite awhile ago -- dk blue, palomino with all the options including LSD and the rear curtain (which the kids had always liked). As of last week I have just turned over 70,000 miles on the odo, so she has decently low mileage. The car has been a flawless machine for the past 15 odd years until this past week when my climate control system went away -- no fan in any mode. Before I took a trip to the dealer (I had just been there a week ago for an oil service) someone metioned that I should search the web for possible clues as to why this had happened...I found you, replaced the 30A strip fuse and saved a trip to the dealer.

Thank you for the great site, I will visit again soon.

On another note, I am looking for another set of wheels for my car. The standard 15" rim for the W126 would be great... If there are any of you out there looking to sell a set of 4, let me know.

Cheers,

Welcome!

Gotta wonder what caused the fuse to blow. Ever had a benz before?

Watch eBay for the wheels. They have every type you could ever want.

I don't think you should worry about why that fuse failed. German fuses suffer the fate of what I call the beer can principle. Heating and cooling caused by all the electrons haulling ass through them makes them evpand and contract until they break.
