Very High Idle RPM'S
I recently changed my Mass Air Flow Sensor on a 1998 S500 4 dr sedan and did a general tune up. Car now idles at over 1500 rpm on start up sometimes going as high as 2500 rpm. Mechanic says that the Idle Control is no good..I am baffled because the problem was not there before I changed the Mass Airflow sensor. Any ideas?

check the Idle Air control valve which is mounted
Check the idle air control valve plug, on mine if you unplug the electrical plug the car revs up to 1500 + rpms, when I plug the plug back on the valve it goes down to 700rpms.
