Reseal Steering Gearbox 380SE W126 ?

Anyone ever done this? I have done a search and get plenty of threads on removing and reinstalling a rebuilt one, but never anything about using the seal kit sold on FastLane.

PO flushed with trans fluid per the manual, but apparently trans fluid has become much more agressive in the last 21 years and it ate the lines and seals in the gearbox. The lines have been replaced, but the gearbox still seeps.

I'm sure someone has done this before...?

Before you go dismantling, you might consider an old timer's trick that worked very well for me - add a few drops of brake fluid(yes) to the steering fluid reservoir. I was told it would soften/recondition the seals . Four years ago - Still dry.
