C220 Fan Motor Access ??
Hi Prevost 3000 here
I am working on a buddy's 95 C220. There is a noise coming from the Interior Cabin Motor that resembles a playing card slapping the spokes of a bicycle tire as it spins. I fear something fell down the defroster duct. Sounds like maybe a straw. I need to get access. How big a job is it? Where do I start? Thanks. Prevost3K |
Have a look at this:

Thanks.
I will look at it tonight. Prevost3K |
W202 Blower motor
Just last weekend I cleaned my C220 '95, it has five bolts as mentioned earlier. Make sure you have a relatively stiff bristol brush to clean the blades while you have it apart. After brushing it well, blow it out with air good. When I finished I cleaning the housing in which it sits in, I spray Febreeze and let it dry. That seems to help the smell of the horse hair seats greatly.
