Where is the outside temp. sensor on my W210?
 
My outside temperature is showing 69 degrees celsius. Does anyone know why?
Is there anything overheating close to where the sensor is located??

it's usually very close to the fog light on the driver's side. It's very obvious on our '02 E wagon.

My broken display (reads Fahrenheit) usually reads nothing at all but sometimes will read 138° for a brief period. I think that that maxed out reading is a sign of failure.

mine is not maxed out
 
max would be at 99C, mine varies anywhere beetween 45C-69C.
