1989 MB 300SE RPM's= MPH?
How many RPM's should I have at a cruising speed of 65 MPH in 4th gear (Drive)?
Thanks |

I know it looks strange but it is normal for the rpm to be high, it's designed that way. I'm at about 3600 rpm at 70 mph.

These engines rev high, 62.5 mph = 3000 rpm.
If you have a lot of noise and vibration, check and/or replace engine and trans mounts, flex discs and driveshaft center bearing. The car should be smooth and quiet.
