HELP NEEDED MAM or Transmission ???

so here goes

I have a C230 1997 200K bought it last January
very nice car, fun to drive

last month it start it to act up ( you give it gas it revs and then it accelarates or it gives small "shots" aka "bucking")

Brought it to the dealer they took the codes and told me i have a broken spark plug change all 4 of them didn't took it for a test drive.. take it back home 1/2 from the dealer is doing it again...

Brought to the dealer again he said that it has a CEL on the transmision erro 114 ??

I asked them to try a new MAM he said that he doesn't have it in stock and that my transmission is gone and that i need one...

I have dificulty believing that my tranny felt just like that, the symptoms occur in D, 4 or 3rd gear...

Should i get my car away from the dealer ?
Should i try a new MAM ?

PLS HELP ME

Those fill for life transmissions are computer controlled and give you no warrning of a possable failure untill it breaks something. It sounds like you have had a very common problem of a bearing failure. Not cheap, but see if they can reprogram the module, sometimes they dont even check and just get new. Some of them you can reprogram

the bearing failure is when they rebuilt your tranny ?
when you say re-program the module is like the "chip" for the transmission ?
I found a guy who specializes in tranny for MB, i'll get the car to him for a second opinion .. a rebuilt one installed 2.5K-2.8K
I love that car but is PITA this tranny faillure..

I did a google search and the tranny is a common problem..
My moral is a bit down i didn't planned on dumping 3k on one shot on this car

The bearing failure is before the rebuild, and thats if you have a reputable rebuilt. Go to http://www.peterschmid.com/

The shop were I'm bringing the 230 is a ZF authorized Distributor..

K my tranny is gone
got an update from the garage

Is an electronic module that is finished.. can it be replaced or i nee dthe whole tranny swaped ?
