I have a 85 500sel and up till last year it had a factory grill that was pefrfect it had a dark gray grill i loved it. The grill it waas replaced with is a light gray i tought it was fadded but i found they are all that way. Where can i get my old look grill back.

Hey Dan..The best way to get the color you seek is to remove the insert and paint it said color..

why cant i just get one that color because i was trying to avoid painting

I think it would be pretty hard to get one in a specific color, and very expensive. These parts are all made the same. I agree with you that the light gray doesn't look too hot. Painting does work very well. I painted mine black and it looks great.
