CEL turned off...but codes still in memory
 
I replaced my MAF and after 4 days the CEL finally turned off.

I have to get MA state inspection this month and the scan tool at AutoZone says that the P0170 and P0173 codes are still stored in memory.

I've heard that after 30 or 40 starts, these will go away.

Can anyone verify this?
