How to change wire for backdoor window lift w202 C180 1997 ??
 

i have now opend the backdoor panel, and there was a wire rusted over, and when i run the "window lift" it sounds like it's eating the wire. Is there a easy fix for this ??

just to be sure it's clear...

Window wont go up or down, lift runs, but theres a steal wire going from the motor that has snapped due to rust....

What and how to fix this ???

That sounds like the regulator used in the 210. Sounds like you need a new one.

You have to replace the window regulator. You have to cut out the rivets that hold it and pop-rivit another in it's place. The rivits that hold them are really tough and will tear your wrists up when you pop them with a conventional poprivit tool. (unless you have hands like Shaq) You'll want a heavy duty poprivit tool if you can get your hands on one. You can do it with a conventional tool but it won't be pleasant.
