A/C off after five seconds and back on in 60???

Guys,

Has anyone ever seen this before?

My 2000 S430 A/C will not work until 60 seconds after the car is started. After that it works perfectly. The ambient temp display will come on as soon as the car is started, shut off after five seconds and then return after 60 seconds. After the display returns the A/C will begin working.

Is this weird or what???

No A/c codes either...
