Dear All:

With warmer and sunny weather coming, I will be using the sunroof on our 91 300TE more often. Can someone please post info on regular sunroof lube and maintainence procedures, the type of grease etc.

My sunroof opens and closes fine but the grease seems a bit thin and dry looking

Sliding Roof
 

Per MB maintenance manual,

1) Open sliding roof completely
2) Clean rail with rag, grease contact surface of sliding jaws with MB sliding paste; 001 989 14 51
3) Perform function test
4) Remove excess grease.
