I orderd a fuel filter from the fastlane for my car. I dind'nt know where the filter was on my car but I assumed it was in the back under the plastic cover. Well I took the cover off today and wanted to replace the filter but what i saw looked nothing like what I got from The Fast Lane. There were three silver canisters one big one in the middle and two small ones on either side. Did they send me the wrong filter? The one I got looks like a oil filter. Or is there somewhere else where the filter is?

5 speed eh? You don't see those everyday. Send me a pic. I'd like to see the car. You were in the right place. The filter will be the larger "canister" that is by itself. There is a 19mm banjo nut on the front and a 17mm tapered fitting on the rear. Make sure you have two new copper seals for the banjo bolt. Fuel filters vary in appearance depending on manufacturer. The new one should resemble the old one in size and shape.

Dave-
You ordered an 002 477 17 01 which should be correct for your car. It is certainly possible that we sent the wrong part. It could have been mismarked.

Does the filter we sent look like this:

Send it back on collect, and I'm sure you'd get the right part delivered soon.

Right, Webmaster?

I will send you return instructions including an RMA number and the address to return the filter to. We will ship you the correct filter.

In the future when there is a problem, please e-mail fastlane@peachparts.com for FastLane parts or parts_info@peachparts.com for PartsShop parts. We respond to e-mail immediately. It would be very easy for us to miss a post in the Shop Forum.
