Big Trouble Help Please !!!

Hello,

I have a 1998 CLK 320 that has 67.000 miles on it. I recently purchased the car and got a pre purchase inspection. Everything checked out fine. The car was running great but today first the warning OIL SENSOR DEFECTIVE came on. After restart the warning was gone. Then an hour later at a light the car seemed to not respond to gas and only moved under heavy gas like the transmission was slipping. Then I felt a jerk during gear change. After restart the car would run fine show same symptoms after a minute of driving. Then the warning CHECK ENGINE ELECTRONICS came on. The CHECK ENGINE light came on as well.

Please tell me what is going on !!

Thank you.

Just a guess but I would check the main wiring harness.

Personally, I'd scan for DTCs!

Thanks. I should also mention the dealer replaced the transmisson under warranty just 26,000 miles ago. Is it possible to have failed again?? Also they wont fix it because the work was done in 2002, too long ago they say.
