my car was fine last night but this morning my car did not start and the light ets came on i need help with my 97 e320

the ets light is on but the car dont move it cranks but dont turn over

The electrical system won't keep the trans from moving, unless the shift lock won't release. If it won't move and the shifter does, then I'd check the fluid level.
