Fuel filter replacement W124 1988 260E

Is it necessary to bleed the new fuel filter when replacing it. I would like also to know the method if any. The car is a W124 1988 260E?

thanks for replies

No need to bleed. The fuel pump will fill the filter and purge air in short order.
