Manifold Gasket

Is there a designed change on the intake manifold gasket on the 240D? No one has the older style and Stock.

I am going to resurrect this thread because I have the same question for my 82 240D. The original manifold gasket divided the intake ports and the new gasket just has oval openings for the intake ports so one oval combines two intake runners. This means that air can leak between the runners of cylinder 1 and 2 at the manifold gasket and also between cylinders 3 and 4. Is this correct?

The part number on the gasket is 615 142 05 80.
