MB KFM Type 30 Antifreeze/Coolant - Source in the US?
Does anyone have a source for the MB KFM Type 30 Antifreeze/Coolant (P/N: 000.989.16.25.11) in the US? According to an MB fanatic friend in Europe, this is supposed to be the very best. See the attached sheet from the WIS.

Zerex G-05 coolant, which is the same as US-spec MB coolant (but much cheaper), is rated for 5 years/100,000 miles. And you should change it every 3 years anyhow. So why spend the extra $$$ on KFM...whatever it is?

The answer to "why" is in the WIS Sheet.

If you have MB coolant in your car, your corrosion problem is not due to the coolant itself. Along with the inactivity, I wonder just what sort of water was mixed with the MB coolant? Local "hard" variety?
