190E will not stop running
 

Hello all,

Im totally new to this site and was wondering if anyone could help with my problem.

I recently had a new fuel filter fitted to my 190E (1989). Before this was done there was a 1-2 second hiss from the fuel pump when I turned the ignition key which then stopped. Now the hiss is constant and still continues when the engine is running. Along with this the engine does not stop running when the ignition is turned off.

Is the constant hiss normal? What could the problem be with the engine not stopping?

Just incase anyone is interested, it turns out it was a dodgy wire connection at the fuel relay... and the fuel relay needed replacing, £10 from a scrappy!
